BACKGROUND
As a passionate composer and multi-instrumentalist, I have been dedicated to musical creation from a young age, driven by a constant curiosity for sound and emotion. Trained first as a drummer, I began developing my melodic and harmonic sensitivity during adolescence through guitar and singing. Later on, I pursued studies centered around my passion for music, sound, and their relationship with visuals. Graduating with honors from the Master's program in Film Music at UQAM (Montreal) and holding a Master's degree in Sound Design for Film and Media, I have had the opportunity to collaborate on various projects as a composer and sound designer. Additionally, a course in Jazz and Popular Music at the Conservatory, as well as both training and experience as an engineer specializing in acoustics, vibrations, and signal processing, have enriched my artistic and technical background.
Sensitive to the role and responsibility of artists within society, my artistic ambition is to be useful (particularly to the youth) by inspiring reflection, an appreciation for nuance, and a sense of wonder.
Always at the service of storytelling, my musical universe lies at the crossroads of orchestral, modern, and popular music, blending precision, emotion, and a touch of mischief. For more traditional scores, I draw inspiration from composers such as Thomas Newman, Alan Silvestri, Alexandre Desplat, Danny Elfman, and John Williams. For more modern productions, I tap into my influences from electronica, rock, blues, folk, and pop, as well as from composers like Gustavo Santaolalla and Hans Zimmer.
Key works like « The Little Prince » by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, « Into the Wild » by Sean Penn, and « Babel » by Alejandro González Iñárritu have also left a lasting imprint on my musical language.
